EVC WinOLS DIESEL Tuning Online Training Overview

There are 6 total modules with some modules broken down into parts that will teach you how to use WinOLS. These modules are broken down into two packages: Modules 1-4b and Modules 5-6b

*Each module will take approximately 1 hour to complete and take the test associated with it.

Package 1:

Module 1:  you will learn how to download, set up software to maximize efficiency, how to configure preferences in advance of making your first project and tuning file.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

• Organizing and Preferences optimized for efficiency
• Recommendations for settings
• Views & Layouts
• How to use and what to avoid

Module 2: In this module, you learn how to correctly open a Project inside EVC WinOLS 5. You will learn the terminology used in the software. You will learn how to navigate through your file development and tuning projects in WinOLS.

You will also learn how to open an existing project, and things to avoid when opening a current project.

Module 3: this lesson will take you deeper into the practical application and use of EVC WinOLS 5. You will learn about the most common diesel engine map types and their typical map sizes. 

You will learn to create, open and manage projects to maximize efficiency.

Module 4A: This lesson covers how to import a mappack

This Module moves you deeper into understanding ECU Data from the viewpoint of the Vehicle Tuner needing to use, control and manipulate data to achieve tuning goals. You will learn about identifying, labelling, and converting data to formats suitable for further manipulation in vehicle tuning – essentially turning ‘data’ into ‘information’.  This will involve some quantitative work – therefore, we have supplied additional course materials to supplement your study.

This Module continues to move deeper into understanding ECU Data. You will continue to learn about identifying, labelling, and converting data to formats suitable for further manipulation in vehicle tuning – essentially turning ‘data’ into ‘information’.  This will involve some quantitative work – therefore, we have supplied additional course materials to supplement your study. 

Package 2

Module 5:  the lesson will cover how to investigate value limitations, clues to getting more power, how to identify relationships between maps and more. 

In this online training course you will learn:

• Understanding the data relationships between different map types in the ECU
• How to build an understanding of the current stock values and limitations in the ECU
• Uncovering hidden clues inside the tables and axis to unlock more power
• As well as, selecting common points of reference in maps
• Increasing torque above stock values
